About Accmeet

Accmeet is a professional marketplace connecting Indian businesses with accountants and Chartered Accountants. Businesses use it to find, hire, and pay professionals for tax, compliance, and financial work. Accountants use it to list their services, reach clients, and get paid without chasing an invoice.

Two things make that possible: a badge that means something, and money that is held rather than trusted.

01

Why we built it

Hiring an accountant in India usually runs on a referral. That works until it does not. A business has no practical way to confirm that the person quoting for its GST filing is registered, and no practical recourse if the work never arrives after the advance is paid. The accountant has the mirror of the same problem: no way to prove a real credential to a stranger, and no way to be sure of payment once the work is delivered.

Accmeet removes both unknowns from the first conversation, so the two sides can talk about the work instead of about whether to trust each other.

02

What the verified badge means

When a Chartered Accountant carries the verified badge on Accmeet, their ICAI membership number has been checked against ICAI records. A self-declared credential is never enough to earn it.

The badge is a statement about registration status at the time of the check, and nothing more. It is earned by an individual profile, not granted platform-wide. Not every accountant on Accmeet carries it, and its absence does not mean a person is unqualified for the work they offer.

Accmeet does not review the quality, accuracy, or legality of professional advice given through the platform. Accountants act on their own account and are responsible for their own work.
03

How the money moves

A business pays up front, but the accountant is not paid at that moment. Accmeet holds the payment while the work is done, and releases it once the business confirms the work is complete. If something goes wrong, the dispute is settled before any money moves.

Accmeet charges a 10% commission on accountant earnings for completed jobs — GST included, not added on top. The first job a new accountant completes is commission-free. Browsing and hiring cost a business nothing. Every amount, including the payment processing fee, is itemised before payment and again on the receipt.
